Steve Higgins

Steve started playing around the Manchester folk clubs in the mid-seventies with a mixture of traditional and contemporary folk songs. Being of Irish descent his first influences were the Clancy Brothers and the Dubliners before the music of Tom Paxton, Bob Dylan and Gordon Lightfoot began to influence his playing. Steve also has a love of classical guitar and piano which have influenced his own guitar accompaniment. These days his repertoire covers a wide range of traditional and contemporary songs.
